• Search Queries: We store your search queries and Q&A questions to provide and improve our service.
• Video URLs: We collect YouTube video URLs that you choose to index and search.

• Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with our Service, including features used, pages visited, and timestamps.
• Device Information: We may collect information about your browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.
• Cookies: We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session and improve user experience.

3. Video Content

• Subtitles/Transcripts: We extract and store video subtitles/transcripts to enable search and Q&A features.
• No Video or Audio Storage: We do NOT store actual video or audio files. We only process and store text content.
• Temporary Processing: Audio files (for videos without subtitles) are processed temporarily and deleted immediately after transcription.

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• Provide the Service: To enable video search, Q&A, and summarization features.
• Improve Our Service: To understand usage patterns and improve our algorithms and user experience.
• User Support: To respond to your inquiries and provide customer support.
• Analytics: To analyze service usage and generate anonymized statistics.

• YouTube: We extract publicly available subtitles from YouTube videos you choose to index.
• Google OAuth: We use Google's authentication service for secure login.
• OpenRouter/OpenAI: We use AI models for video summarization and Q&A features. We only send text content (subtitles), not personal information.
• Supabase: We use Supabase for database and authentication services.
• Stripe: We use Stripe for payment processing (if you subscribe to paid plans). Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment information.

Data Retention

• Account Data: We retain your account information as long as your account is active.
• Video Indexes: Indexed video content (subtitles/transcripts) is stored permanently and shared across all users to improve service efficiency. This is public information extracted from publicly available YouTube videos.
• Search History: Your personal search queries and Q&A questions are retained to provide search history features (for Pro users). You can request deletion at any time.
• Temporary Data: Audio files and other temporary processing data are deleted immediately after use.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

• Access: You can request access to the personal information we hold about you.
• Correction: You can request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data.
• Data Portability: You can request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format.

Chrome Extension Permissions

• storage: To cache search results and user preferences locally in your browser.
• Host permissions (youtube.com, timecue.io): To enable communication between the extension, YouTube pages, and our backend service.

We only use these permissions for the stated purposes and do not access unrelated browsing data.
